Infrared heating is a direct form of power transfer that doesn’t rely on conduction thru a medium like air. By the virtue of its shorter wave length, infrared is able to penetrate and heat solid objects and bodies directly, much like the sun’s rays. This makes heating with infrared faster, more effective and more efficient than heating with traditional heaters.
Infrared heat is not just used to heat rooms but it’s also employed in heat therapy. It is usually classified into one of 3 groups ; far-, mid-, and near-infrared. CZ Infrared heaters use thermal infrared waves AKA far-infrared. The most therapeutic wavelength for the body also turns out to be far-infrared.
Far-infrared has an identical resonance with water so the water molecules in the body and in the air soak up the far-infrared waves directly and radically change the radiant energy into thermal energy or heat.
Relatively, traditional heating systems work by first heating the air in a building. Once the air is heated first, the people and objects inhabiting the room also become hotter. This kind of heat is less convenient than infrared heat for 2 reasons. First, standard heating techniques waste energy by heating all the air in a room. By having to heat ceilings and uninhabited space, the heater runs longer and uses more power in the process. Second, they don’t provide cosy warmth until the air is heated. This implies that if you turn on a standard heater, you have got to wait for the entire room to become warm before you can even feel the heating effects.
Using an infrared heater gives you a radiant heat that makes you feel warm pretty much instantly. This is because it heats you, the room and the objects in the room at the velocity of light and it doesn’t rely on heating the air in the room first in order for you to feel the warmth. This makes CZ infrared heaters much more efficient than conventional heaters.
To help you understand this better let’s compare infrared heat to the sun’s rays. If you are in a cold room and then step into the daylight penetrating through the window you are feeling the heat of the sun almost instantly as it penetrates your body, although the temperature of the room hasn’t modified.
In the case of the CZ Infrared heater, the far-infrared wavelength is such that it has no damaging affects on the body. In fact, far-infrared has many therapeutic effects on the body. In that respect, not all infrared heaters are created equal. Some may give off infrared waves but could be of a wavelength that may be dangerous to the body, much like the Sun where some of its radiation is damaging. Only a certain wavelength range is therapeutic and this is the same wavelength that is generated by the CZ Infrared heater.
Another unique property of infrared heat that makes it so efficient and effective is that the heat is distributed uniformly throughout the space and from floor to ceiling. The infrared waves heat the water molecules in the air at once and quickly, and because water molecules are way more dense than air, the heat stays more uniformly distributed across the room. Also, water and objects keep heat longer than air, so that the heat is not lost as fast thru poor insulation, windows, doors and cracks. Dry heated air produced by traditional heaters rises to the ceiling, leaving the air cooler closer to the floor and does not disperse evenly, leaving cold pockets. The heated air is quickly diminished thru widows, doors, cracks and gaps, so a typical heater has to work much harder to keep the room at a constant temperature than an infrared heater, making traditional heating strategies less efficient and less effective.
The CZ Infrared heater doesn’t destroy the humidity in the air, it preserves it and implements it for better heating. Typical heaters sometimes dry out the air making it dry and staticy, which can irritate the skin and respiratory passages making another susceptible to colds and flus. Also because infrared heat does not need to reach very high combustible temperatures to heat effectively, it doesn’t burn up the oxygen in the room like most conventional heaters do. Lower oxygen concentration can make one feel exhausted, dozy, and more at the mercy of sickness.
