There are certain things about the very idea of rainwater harvesting that can be taken for granted, especially if you\’ve been acquainted with the process for a short time. This was certainly the case for me while talking to a neighbour about rainwater tanks.
One thing that I\’d noticed during the last few years driving my own car around local, spread a lot quantity of houses that have Rain Tanks installed. Rainwater tanks really are popular right now. This is highlighted by the example of the roof on my house. My roof can at this point harvest 75, 000 litres of rainwater per year from just 300mm (12 in .) of rainfall. That\’s enough to complete a 4, 500 litre rainwater tank over 16 times in excess of. But even better, the great thing about rainfall is that a lot of climates don\’t get it in a short time. That means you don\’t require a 75, 000 litre rainwater container to store that number of rainwater.
So that was the next lesson I learnt about Rainwater Harvesting…………..
You don\’t need a great deal of Rain to Harvest a great deal of Rainwater. The roof of your house is probably the best assets you get when harvesting rainwater.
