Silver Poly Tarpaulins

The polyethylene tarpaulin is designed to stand up to the wettest wintertime days and the hottest summertime days because they are well constructed and durable. Once you\’ve got that classic car that you\’ve always wanted, you should cover it with a durable silver polyethylene tarpaulin.

Silver polyethylene tarps are made from best materials and they are impervious to snow, are mildew proof, and waterproof. If the paint job on that classic car was faded from the sun in the summertime or damaged from an ice storm it would surely cost a pretty penny to have it repainted. Consider all of the money that a quality tarpaulin will save you.

Tarps are made having the grommets spaced at 18\’. They have an Ultra Violet coating of 40 microns which makes them long lasting, durable, and able to provide good protection. A silver poly tarpaulin is not only resistant to the hot sun and to tears but also to water and mildew. There are even some acids that won\’t cause any damage to polyethylene tarpaulin. Polyethylene tarpaulins are coated on both sides with silver, which is highly reflective color, in order to provide the best possible protection from Ultra Violet radiation.

The polyethylene tarpaulin is reflective and has 14 strands of weaved material both vertically and horizontal for each square inch with polyethylene material for a tighter and closer weave. There is an extra Ultra Violet coating on the bottom side of a silver polyethylene tarpaulin so that light won\’t pass through the tarpaulin. The tarp\’s corners are molded and strengthened with plastic with the seams being either heat sealed or double stitched for additional durability. You won\’t have to worry about the paint job on your classic car getting damaged by damp rust getting on your paint job while you have it covered with a polyethylene tarpaulin because the grommets are resistant to rust. It is very easy to tie the tarpaulin down. The silver polyethylene tarpaulin has grommets that are reinforced grommets which will allow you to pull a good, close fit over that classic car that you are protecting without having to worry about it tearing.

The majority of polyethylene tarpaulins that are heavy duty have a tensile strength of 1200 Denier and have a weight of 6.0 ounces for each square yard. There are some silver polyethylene tarpaulins that can be as thick as 12 mils and have a tensile strength of 1600 denier. A Denier is a measurement of the density of fibers. A mil is a measurement of the diameter of things such as wires and thread. A silver polyethylene tarpaulin is so durable because it is tightly woven. Remember that the higher the count of denier count, the greater the tensile strength. The stronger the tarpaulin the better protection it will provide.
